Where We Work

The Initiative connects research, policy, and practice to support the long-term sustainability of upland oak ecosystems — and just as importantly, celebrate the results.

Networks

The WOI works across the range of white oak through strong regional networks that are actively implementing conservation practices aligned with our guiding principles: a science-based, outcome-oriented approach; collaboration; site-level decision-making; public and private lands engagement; and a commitment to sharing knowledge and incorporating stakeholder feedback.
